Just found Ning is going to charge to set up ongoing networks.

So this environment is now not going to be so easily useful. Not sure what is going to happen to my old content although they say they are setting an export facility so I suppose we will port it over to some other network system - maybe even take it back to the LMS - now that would be a backward step. One of the things that I find - like I think others are pointing to - is because I am interested in this area of technology supported learning - that I am happy to have a go at a range of technologies - however I do not think that is generally the case. In the big wide world many of us are looking for simplicity and possibly for things that suit us best. Just found Ning is going to charge to set up ongoing networks.

Interesting

I agree with Juliet, there are so many different cyber programs in which we are using for this class and I'm enjoying them all. I too have a blog, Wiki, Facebook, Twitter, and now Ning. Its interesting to see which programs are and are not working for me, and which ones I would consider in my teaching practice.
